Vor-Tek was recently a top 10 finalist in the Wendy Schmidt XPrize Oil Challenge, out of over 300 teams, all competing to create new technology for improving the removal of oil from water after a spill. The issue of plastic in the ocean, and the North Pacific Gyre in particular, has been particularly important to us, and has itself become a launchpad for a number of ideas and innovations targeting marine pollution.
