How Can You Help?
Thank you for helping to support our work, which include two global programs on plastic pollution.
Your support includes The Plastic Disclosure Project (similar to carbon and water reporting), and our Global Alert platform, to allow for community reporting of trash hotspots anywhere in the world's waterways or coastlines. This was recently selected as one of the top eight apps in the world "doing good," by CEO Magazine. It also won the Energy Globe Award for Hong Kong in 2017. It is only with your support that we can continue to grow the great momentum that we have built to date, and it continues to get stronger as awareness expands on the complex issue of plastic pollution.
Donations are tax deductable in the US, Hong Kong, and other locations that have reciprocal tax deduction policies.
We would be delighted if you are able to donate to us on a montly basis, if you are able to do so, and a few monthly donation options can easily be activated via this link at Paypal, which also accepts credit cards for donation purposes.
We have something for you
For those who donate more than US$100, we are happy to send you an Ocean Recovery Alliance branded baseball hat (navy blue), made from recycled plastic bottles, and for those donating more than US$200, we are happy to send you an Ocean Recovery Alliance branded polo shirt (black shirt only). More information here.
Ocean Recovery Alliance is a U.S. 501c3, and a charitable organization in Hong Kong - both allow for tax deductable donations, so thank you for thinking of the ocean when it comes to the end of the tax year for your donation options. Receipts are available for donations over US$50. Annual returns are available upon request.
Payments can be made online, or by check to the following addresses (donation by mail) below:

United States: Ocean Recovery Alliance, Inc. c/o Malibu Foundation, 1471 S. Bedford St. #3, Los Angeles 90035, USA

Hong Kong: Ocean Recovery Alliance, Ltd.
20Fl Central Tower, 28 Queen's Road, Central, Hong Kong
Both of these were launched at the Clinton Global Initiative, and have since been adopted by both the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the World Bank's Global Partnership for Oceans as tools to tackle plastic waste.
One is the Plastic Disclosure Project, and the other is the Global Alert platform, which is a global map to track trash hot-spots, using community reporting. We also run the innovative Plasticity Forum, on the future of plastic and where the leaders are going with design, innovation, materials, recycling and solutions, so we have less of a waste footprint with plastic.
Other programs include: "Skyscraper" - the Bruges Whale (Asia Tour), Water Falling and Water Rising Festivals (November and June, respectively, on the Tonle Sap Lake in Cambodia), Kids Ocean Day Hong Kong, Water Caretakers of Tomorrow (curriculum), Uncle Roo - the Recycling Rooster (play), the Ocean in Motion Film Festivals, and work with companies and municipalities/governments in order to improve their recycling, packaging, and plastic use for a world with a reduced waste footprint.
Our work
We have two of the only programs in the world which addresses plastic pollution at scale, across borders, without the need for bans, legislative changes, or taxes.
